Automatic backups#

With iCloud Drive Backup on, the database is backed up daily when the app goes to the background. The last 7 backups are kept in Files → iCloud Drive → SpectreNav → Backups. Last Auto Backup shows when it last ran.

Backup now and restore#

Backup Now to iCloud makes one immediately. Restore from iCloud lists the backups found; restoring replaces the current database with the backup you choose, and anything recorded after that backup is lost. It asks to confirm.

What is in a backup#

Detection history and encounters, fingerprints and mute zones, your reports, favourites, loyalty cards and the record counts shown on the screen. Detector profiles and settings are stored separately with the app's preferences and come back with an iCloud device restore.
