Quick report

Save a camera or speed-trap report at your position with the plus button, add details, and send it in for the shared database.

Updated October 31, 2026

The round plus button at the bottom right of the map saves a report where you are, facing the way you are travelling.

Report here: type, direction, and More details

Report here#

  1. Tap the plus button. Only do this when it is safe.
  2. Pick the Type: speed camera, red light camera or plate reader.
  3. Pick which way it Faces. Plate readers can be left without a direction.
  4. Tap save. A "Report saved" toast confirms it, with a shortcut to share it for review.

More details… opens the full report form instead, with every category (police, speed traps, automated enforcement, bookmarks and more), a title and notes, and the average-speed camera pair where you mark a start and, later, the end.

What happens to a report#

  • It alerts you immediately on later drives and shows on the map under the Police reports or camera layer.
  • It is listed under Menu → Settings → Map & navigation → Reports & cameras → Your reports, where you can edit or remove it (iPhone).
  • Camera reports land in Share for review, where you refine the pin and submit it. Submitted cameras are reviewed by SpectreNav before they appear in the live database for everyone. See Reports and cameras.

Other ways to report#

  • A button: a Flic, a steering-wheel media key or a Bluetooth clicker can be mapped to "Mark a camera here". See Buttons and voice control.
  • Voice: say the wake word or tap the microphone, then "mark a camera".
  • CarPlay: the Report button on the map template.
  • Encounter detail: a saved alert's page has a report action for the spot where it happened.
