Appearance#

The Appearance screen
Theme & orientation, On the map, Accessibility

Menu → Settings → Map & navigation → Appearance.

  • Theme: Auto, Light or Dark. Auto follows the phone; on CarPlay it follows sunrise and sunset at your position.
  • Orientation: Auto, Portrait, or landscape left or right.
  • Flash map alerts: a brief flash of the map when a camera or report alerts.
  • Edge alerts: point to cameras and reports from the edge of the screen instead of listing them at the top.
  • Auto zoom: zooms out at highway speed and in for turns, lower speed limits and speed cameras ahead; pinch to set how far out it goes. Flat keeps the map flat; Reset map zoom puts the far limit back.
  • Show upcoming speed limit: shows the next posted limit above the current one when it changes ahead on your road.
  • Auto-close: close the app a while after the detector disconnects.
  • Speedometer size: 1.0× to 1.5×.
  • Units: mph or km/h.
  • Screen flash (Accessibility): flashes the whole screen in the band's colour when an alert starts, for drivers who cannot rely on sound. Per band: X, K, Ka, Laser, Other.
