Share for review#

Camera reports you drop on the map land here for refinement before they are submitted to the SpectreNav database. Open one, check its position, type and direction, then submit. Submitted cameras are reviewed by SpectreNav before appearing in the live database for everyone. The Menu shows a banner while reports are waiting here.

  1. Search a location or move the map, then tap the add button.
  2. Choose the type (speed, red light or plate reader) and set the direction it faces.
  3. Save. The camera alerts you immediately, and goes to Share for review for submission.

Where the camera database comes from#

The database the app downloads (see Camera alerts) combines public map data with reports submitted from the app. Anonymous signal data sharing is separate and controlled under Data & privacy.

Tips for accurate reports#

  • Report from the lane the camera watches, facing the way you travel.
  • One pin per camera; an average-speed pair gets a start and an end.
  • Use the camera editor to fix a quick report placed a little off.
