Diagnostics
Capture connection and alert logs on the phone while reproducing a problem, then export them for support.
Menu → Settings → Data → Diagnostics.
Diagnostic mode#
Diagnostic mode records routine activity as well as connection and error logs. Turn it on only while reproducing an issue, drive, then turn it off. Verbose logging adds more detail.
Captured logs#
Logs stay on this phone for about 7 days. Nothing is uploaded; Export diagnostic logs builds a file you can send with the share sheet. Clear logs empties the capture.
What to send#
Email support@spectrenav.com with the exported file, the version and build from About, the detector model, and what happened and when. For a detector that dropped or an alert that did not play, the time of day is the most useful detail.
Device health#
The app watches the phone's thermal state and warns when it overheats, which stops the detector reconnecting; a notification profile can speak the warning.
