Aircraft#

Small aircraft overhead that may be timing traffic.

  • Source: Disabled, Cloud (internet feeds), Carputer (its own receiver) or Combo (both).
  • Alerts: Normal, or Restrictive to show only likely law enforcement.
  • Announce enforcement patterns: speak when an aircraft flies a pattern that looks like speed enforcement.

Aircraft show on the map with the Aircraft layer on and on the signal card when one is overhead.

Carputer#

The Carputer page
Configure Carputer

A small Linux computer in the car running the SpectreNav companion: a police scanner, SDR radar detection and an ADS-B receiver. Tap Configure Carputer, enter its address, user and password and Connect. Once connected:

  • Scanner audio streams to the phone and the car; the dark audio bar above the status strip shows the system and talkgroup with pause.
  • The Carputer's receivers feed the Aircraft layer when Source is Carputer or Combo.
  • The dashboard shows the services, radios and their health, with SDR calibration.

The Carputer chip in the status strip is green while connected.

Web integrations#

Pull alerts and map points from web services on a schedule. See Web integrations.

Map data#

Icons, colours and visibility for integration points on the map.

Detection models#

The models that estimate how far away a signal is update automatically when the app starts. The installed version and revision are shown.
