Mute zones
The places where the app keeps known false alerts quiet: learned automatically for K and X, or chosen by you with Lockout. Review, search and undo them here.
A mute zone is a place where a particular signal has been heard often enough to be treated as false. Shop doors, speed signs and blind-spot monitors live here.

Open#
Menu → Settings → Detector → Alert filtering → Manage mute zones. The Mute zones chip in the status strip opens the same screen while lockouts are active, and it is the first result for "mute" or "lockout" in settings search.
How zones are made#
- Automatic muting: a K or X signal heard at the same place three times (adjustable under Advanced lockouts) is muted there. Ka and laser are never learned.
- Lockout from the signal card mutes a signal at this spot straight away.
- Whitelist, also on the card, marks a spot to always alert, so it cannot be learned.
The list#
Signals within about 2 km are listed with band, frequency, distance and how many times they have been heard. Tap Mute or Unmute; you can Undo for a few seconds. Unmuting asks whether to Keep muted, Let it be learned again or Always alert here. Search everywhere widens the list past 2 km, with band and status filters.
Show on map draws the zones around you, with a sheet per pin to lock, unlock, whitelist or lock permanently.
Mute zones and the muted signals map#
Detection history has a Muted signals map that plots learned fingerprints and manual mutes on top of your alert history. Mute zones is the list you manage; the map is the overview.
