Dashcam
Connect a BlackVue dash camera, browse and download recordings, watch the live view, find the footage for an alert, and edit a clip.
Menu → Dashcam (also Menu → Settings → Devices & services → Dashcam).

Supported cameras#
Works with BlackVue DR750 and DR900. Other cameras with the same API may work but are untested.
Connect#
Tap Set up and choose how the camera reaches the phone:
- Phone hotspot (recommended): the camera joins your phone's hotspot; you stay online. Keep the Personal Hotspot screen open while the camera connects the first time, and give the hotspot a plain name.
- Camera Wi-Fi: your phone joins the camera's network while you use it. Enter the Wi-Fi name and password.
- Direct address: a camera reachable on another network by address.
Disconnect ends the session. The connection state shows at the top with the camera's name.
Recordings#
Browse the clips on the camera by drive, play them, and download the ones you want. Downloads continue in the background.
Live view#
Watch the camera's live picture while connected.
Find footage#
A map of your drives with the camera's GPS track. Tap a point on a path to open the exact frame recorded there, useful after an alert.
Time sync#
Each clip's GPS log says exactly when it was recorded; clips without one use another clip from the same drive, or are matched to your drives. If the camera's clock resets when the car starts, check GPS time sync in the camera's settings or have its backup battery checked. The Time sync section shows how clips were matched.
Edit a video#
Edit a video from your library opens the editor with a clip from Photos or Files. From a recording, the editor cuts and exports a clip, can blur plates and faces, and overlays the alert data from that moment. Export runs as a Live Activity so you can leave the app.
Encounters#
An encounter with footage from a connected camera shows the clip under Video review.
