The map#

Pins mark where alerts peaked, labelled by band. Move the map and tap Search this area to load the alerts there. Tap a pin to highlight its entry in the feed.

The feed#

Grouped by day. Each entry shows the bands heard (an encounter can have several), the peak strength on the detector's scale, the identified source when there is one, when it was last seen and how far away it is. Tap an entry for the encounter detail. Swipe for delete.

Toolbar#

  • Filters: date range, band, frequency range in GHz (for example 33.4 to 36.0 for Ka) and a location with a radius. Hide muted alerts drops the ones that were quiet.
  • Last 15 minutes: the recall list.
  • Statistics: counts, histograms, the timeline and the heat map. See Statistics and heat map.
  • Export detections: CSV or KML for a date range. Same page.
  • Signal fingerprints: what the app has learned. See Signal fingerprints.
  • Muted signals map: learned and manual mutes on a map. See Muted signals map.

Where the data lives#

History is stored on the phone. There is no account and nothing syncs between devices. On iPhone, Backup saves it to iCloud Drive. With data sharing on, anonymous copies of the readings are uploaded to improve detection; see Data & privacy.
