Detector profiles
Save complete detector setups, including alert filtering, as named profiles you can apply in a tap or let an automation switch for you.
A profile holds detector settings and alert filtering. Applying one changes them all at once.

Open#
Menu → Settings → Detector → Detector profiles, or tap the profile card on the Detector page.
Create a profile#
- Save current settings as a profile snapshots what the connected detector and the alert filtering are set to right now, and asks for a name.
- New profile from defaults starts from the detector's defaults.
The editor asks for a name, the Detector it belongs to (Valentine One, Uniden or Radenso), whether it is the Default profile, and whether to Apply after saving. Its Detector settings step is the same topic pages as the Detector page; its Alert filtering step is the same screen as Settings → Alert filtering.
Use a profile#
Tap a profile to Apply it. Swipe or long-press a row for Edit, Duplicate, Make default and Delete. Deleting a profile that an automation uses stops that automation switching to it.
The Default profile is the one automations fall back to on leaving an area with no exit profile of its own.
Ideas#
| Profile | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Highway | Full sensitivity, K band on, speed-aware muting off |
| City | K band filtered, X off, speed-aware muting below the posted limit |
| Passenger | Lower volume, intelligent muting on |
Let location choose#
Automations at the top of the list switch profiles when you arrive in or leave a place. See Automations.
