Signal card

The dark card at the top of the map during an alert: bands, strength, direction, mute reasons, and the Mute, Snooze, Lockout and Whitelist actions.

Updated October 31, 2026

The signal card appears when the detector hears something and leaves when the alert ends. It is the same card on the phone, on CarPlay and on Android Auto.

Reading the card#

  • Band list (left): each band the detector currently hears, with a stacked strength bar. The colours are the same everywhere in the app: K orange, Ka red, Ku pink, X white, Laser purple, MRCD cyan, Gatso yellow, cameras blue.
  • Top alert (right): the band the app considers most important, its frequency, an arrow for its direction when the detector reports one, and a strength meter. Laser alerts name the gun when the detector identifies it, such as Ultralyte LRB or TruSpeed S.
  • Count badge: how many alerts are active. The strongest wins the big slot. Alerts that have just ended are listed under Detection history → Last 15 minutes.
  • Mute badges: when an alert is quiet, a small badge says why: rear mute, time mute, a blind-spot-monitor signature, speed-aware muting, intelligent muting, a mute zone or your own mute.

Strength is shown on the detector's own scale: 0 to 6 for a Valentine One, 0 to 8 for a Uniden, 0 to 5 for a Radenso.

When the app recognises the signal, a strip slides in along the foot of the card for a few seconds: Suspected match · Police · Medium confidence for a learned fingerprint, or Heard here before for a learned spot. It never covers the other cards.

Actions#

Tap a band on the card:

  • Mute or Unmute this alert. On a detector that reports mute state, the card follows the detector's own mute button too.
  • Snooze: quiet for a while without affecting later alerts.
  • Lockout: remember this spot and keep this signal quiet here. An Undo pill appears for a few seconds. Lockouts are listed under Mute zones.
  • Whitelist: always alert here, even if the app would otherwise learn the spot as false.

Laser#

A laser hit takes over the whole screen in red with the gun type, so it cannot be missed. With an AL Priority jammer paired, the overlay shows Defense or Detection mode and a one-tap disengage; see AL Priority.

Aircraft#

With the aircraft layer on, a tracked aircraft that may be timing traffic shows on the card with its position relative to you. See Integrations.

When the card stays empty#

  • The Detector chip in the status strip must be green. If it is red, reconnect from Menu → Detector → Devices.
  • A detector that is connected but shows no alerts is usually one whose alert stream did not start; disconnecting and connecting again fixes it.
  • Alerts the app is muting still appear on the card with a mute badge. If you hear nothing at all, check Sound and the active notification profile.
