Statistics and heat map

Alerts counted by band, direction, mode and time, histograms of frequency, speed, duration and distance, the alert heat map, and CSV or KML export.

The Statistics screen
Range, counts, breakdowns and histograms

Range#

7 days, 30 days, 90 days or All. The header counts alerts, readings and drives in the range.

Breakdowns#

  • By band, direction, constant-on vs instant-on and detector mode. Mode is stamped on readings from a Valentine One; other detectors do not report one.
  • Top 100: the strongest alerts in the range; tap one to open its encounter, or read "Alert not in history" if its readings have gone.

Histograms and timeline#

Frequency, Speed, Duration and Distance histograms, and a Timeline of alerts by hour and by day.

Heat map#

The Alert heat map layer on the home map colours places by how often you have been alerted there, from the same readings. Switch it on under Layers, with Count muted alerts and a minimum-hits stepper.

Export#

The export sheet
Range, bands, muted readings, format

Export detections from the Statistics or history toolbar:

  • Range: last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, everything, or custom dates. Bands and Include muted readings narrow it.
  • CSV: one line per reading with time (UTC), band, frequency, strength, direction, mute status, position, speed, heading, detector and mode.
  • KML: one placemark per alert at its strongest reading, grouped by band, plus the path driven while it was up. Opens in Google Earth.
